America's Most Wanted: The Hunt for Drug Subs - Sample III

During March sweeps 2009, one of the major cases featured on AMW followed drug trafficking via crude semi-submersibles from Colombia to Mexico. This case had our producer working with Colombian government officials, and US government agencies to track the path of drug shipments.

This interactive feature takes allows the audience to trace the path of these vessels--from their initial construction and loading of cargo deep in the Colombian jungles, their scarcely detectible ocean journey, and interception by US forces.

Additionally, the audience learns about the history of semi-submersible trafficking, more physical details about the vessels themselves, and information about the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force charged with taking them out.
