Safe and Sound

— sleepy jean @ 9:39 pm

Its true, we slacked on the mixtapes for a while. We’d ask our friends to make them, and we’d wait around for ages getting nothing. And so you’d have to wait around, perusing the archives for your favorite mixes and just pretend they were fresh and new. We did the same thing. But now all of a sudden people have gotten excited about the mixes again, and the fresh ones just keep coming. Speaking of which, a new mix has just been posted. Volume 15 in the series, was put together by FFFFs, exactly 1/2 of Hand Fed Babies, and is entitled “Safe Houses (Sockets Loves Echelon Yes Yes Yes! Mix).” And its wonderful. Get it Now! Visit the Sockets MySpace page for info on his dope beats and other tasty treats…Oh yes, and as per usual, all the archived mixes are available, click here for the archive.

What Weekend?

— sleepy jean @ 9:55 pm

So, we’ve just posted a brand spanking new mix for you guys, put together by our buddy, Los Angeles based artist/musician/architecht David O’Brien aka The Effects. This guy does pretty much everything, and one of his recent efforts was a collaboration with Beans (formerly of Antipop Consortium) which was released as a single. His latest mix for us is volume 14 of our pause tape series, and is entitled “Little Magic, Perfect Weekend.” As usual, all the archive are available, click here for the archive.
