turducken sandwich

— sleepy jean @ 9:14 pm

This weekend, S&P buckled down in the studio and got a couple of new songs recorded for the new record. Pretty exciting. A number of guests will be joining the band on this record, and these songs are a couple of examples of that. Carol Bui stopped in a couple weeks back to lay down some background vox on a song, and our good friend Dan from Deleted Scenes popped round last night for backing vocals on another track.

The new single from Person will be available in the new year, and will feature mixes from Spank Rock and Outputmessage, stay tuned for more information about that coming soon! Also, if you are able to catch a Person show, you may have noticed Outputmessage as an addition to the live set. Also, speaking of singles, and speaking of Outputmessage, the single for Sommeil will be coming soon. Available on vinyl from Melodic, and featuring remixes by Person, Working for a Nuclear Free City and more. Album art by Echelon Productions.

A couple of shows coming up over the next few weeks, so mark your calendars:
On November 10, Person will be playing at The Red & The Black with Deleted Scenes , Cataract Camp and Elevado. The Red & The Black is at 1212 H Street NE, Washington DC, doors are $8.

Then, on the 19th, for you New York kids, Person will be hitting up Arlene’s Grocery. Sharing the stage with the sounds of Ladycop, Keegan Dewitt and the Sparrows, and Kuntry Karaoke. $7

And rounding out November, on Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday November 25th come shake off that triptophan induced lethargy and come out to support Stamen & Pistils, sharing the stage with carpark records bands, Over the Atlantic and Beach House
