There was a moment, which lasted I would say for roughly a week and a half, where we were all certain that winter was in fact over. The midwest was being dumped on with snow and for better or for worse people were starting to break out the short pants here in DC. But then all of a sudden we awoke yesterday to find that distant snow was now all around us. The roaring beast that is the March wind would lay quietly in its lair whilst what we would hope to be the last remnants of winter plays itself out. That furry little almanac predicted that an early spring were on its way. Alas, our scarves and mittens in tow for a few more days.
